The next lady Audley: a domestic thriller

"Four women were in the penthouse the night George Torm disappeared. Each one knows something the others do not. Lucy is Lady Audley: the founder's wife, the Angel of Manhattan, a face millions look at and nobody quite sees. Alice is the founder's daughter, who has hated Lucy for a year. Claire is the missing man's sister, an investigative journalist who is very good at getting people to talk. Phoebe is the assistant, always in the room and never noticed. George recognises Lucy across a crowd. By morning he has gone back to Tallinn, his message says. Claire knows it does not sound like him. Lucy says she never left the apartment. Alice saw her go. Lady Audley is not a name. It is a way out. All four of them are about to need it. A modern retelling of Lady Audley's Secret by Mary Elizabeth Braddon"--
