My cloak is poetry: a prosimetrum on myth

"My Cloak Is Poetry: A Prosimetrum on Myth is a hybrid work by Rachel Hadas combining lyric poems with brief prose reflections. Arranged largely in order of composition, the poems are paired with commentaries that draw on classical sources such as Homer, Hesiod, and Ovid, as well as later retellings and the author's teaching experience. The collection considers origins, mortality, love, memory, and the enduring presence of myth in contemporary life, showing how poetry both preserves and reshapes inherited narratives"-- Provided by publisher
