Will Erika overcome life's obstacles and meet the star of her dreams? Erika is a Psychology major in college, facing her fears and looking for answers after being bullied as a schoolchild. Her grandmother, her rock, unexpectedly gets diagnosed with terminal cancer. After her death, Erika struggles in college and tries to rebuild her life when she is hit with more devastating news. After a large mass is found in her uterus, Erika's concentration is reduced to nothing. She can barely believe it when doctors confirm the worst-- the mass, and her chance of having babies-- must be removed. Erika is launched into a chaotic emotional journey which leads her towards questioning who she is and her purpose in life. In the months leading up to her surgery, she develops an intense attraction towards a handsome, talented actor in a popular soap opera. Although her surgery is successful, it leaves her exhausted, drained and disconnected from life. However, Erika does have one bright spot... an unexpected source of healing and emotional connection.
