Greg's Gift - A Memoir of Woe & Mischief

Spring 1997: Eddie Murphy got busted with a transgender prostitute, Gary Kasparov was defeated by an IBM computer, Donald Trump split with Marla Maples, and Greg, our unFriendly Neighborhood Drug Dealer, bounded up three flights to the door of my Chicago pad and tossed a duffel bag full of his stash at me. What follows is 72 hours of mayhem as I try to get the bag back to its owner, two relationships fail, I get a tattoo, and struggle to find my own identity amid an implosion of childhood memories and unresolved traumas. Get set for a whirlwind ride through anxiety and avoidance as the Loki of the neighborhood taunts from the sidelines, seeming to have answers to these and all other mysteries.
